Designing your site

Designing the look and structure of a website is a very personal process. You know your business best and you know how you want to convey your message to your customers. As a result you have to be involved at every step. The main steps you are involved in are:

  • choosing the look and feel, and key imagery
  • designing the structure - how many pages, the main headings and sub headings ...
  • writing the content
  • choosing supporting images
  • entering text and supporting images into the site and doing a final polish on the message

Steps that we can go through to support this include:

  • making graphical mock-ups of the site
  • often converting your chosen design into PowerPoint so that you can work with it - seeing how the content, structure and design work together
  • making the website prototype with proof versions of the imagery and some content
  • developing the final website design, buying for you and installing key imagery, and configuring it so that you can input and manage the content
  • finishing the final product and publishing it
